Colegio República de Siria fue el anfitrión regional de simulacro educacional por terremoto

El 6 de octubre, 2.378 establecimientos educacionales de la Región Metropolitana,
desde la enseñanza parvularia a superior, participaron en el simulacro de
terremoto organizado por el Servicio Nacional de Prevención y Respuesta ante
Desastres (SENAPRED). Con el fin de evaluar la implementación de los
protocolos del Plan Integral de Seguridad Escolar (PISE). Las autoridades
asistieron al Colegio República de Siria (sede media), el que fue elegido como
sede regional de la actividad.
El ejercicio simuló la respuesta de la comunidad educativa ante un sismo de
mayor intensidad (VIII en Escala de Mercalli y de magnitud 8.8 de Mww). La
evacuación no solo contempló cada fase protocolar de seguridad que más de 700
estudiantes realizaron, sino también la práctica de la labor de bomberos en este
tipo de emergencias.
Tras el simulacro, que se extendió por alrededor de 30 minutos, autoridades
valoraron la respuesta del recinto y puntualizaron en la necesidad de desarrollar
este tipo de iniciativas para capacitar a la comunidad educativa ante estas
emergencias, promoviendo la cultura preventiva del cuidado colectivo e individual
en situaciones de riesgo. “Estoy seguro de que esta ha sido una jornada
exitosa, de la que vamos a sacar muchas lecciones, para que cuando llegue
el momento, estemos preparados para enfrentar estos desafíos”, afirmó el
ministro de Educación Nicolás Cataldo.
Además, el director nacional de SENAPRED, Álvaro Hormazábal, explicó que “lo
que buscan estos ejercicios es entrenar a los jóvenes, para saber qué tienen
que hacer, cómo tienen que actuar en una de las principales amenazas que
tenemos, que es un sismo”.
Al simulacro asistió el director del Colegio República de Siria; el ministro de
Educación, Nicolás Cataldo; la subsecretaria de Educación, Alejandra Arratia; el
director nacional de SENAPRED, Álvaro Hormazábal; el director regional de
SENAPRED, Miguel Muñoz; la Delegada Presidencial de RM, Constanza
Martínez; la Seremi de Educación RM, Flavia Fiabane; la presidenta de la
Asociación Chilena de Municipales y las Direcciones Regionales Metropolitana de
JUNJI e Integra.
