A raíz la gran cantidad de equipos en desuso en los establecimientos educacionales la Corporación de Desarrollo Municipal Ñuñoa gestionó el retiro de estos aparatos de manera gratuita.
Según lo señalado por la entidad municipal la empresa encarga de sacar las pantallas, CPUs, entre otros insumos la CMDS tomó contacto con la empresa Tecnorecicla, quien retira materiales informáticos de manera gratuita.
El retiro comenzó en abril de este año y abarcó 9 recintos educacionales como los colegios Aurora de Chile, Guardiamarina Guillermo Zañartu, José Toribio Medina- Básica, entre otros además de los liceos República de Argentina y Brígida Walker.
Cabe indicar, que antes descartar los equipos para su uso se hizo una revisión de éstos y en algunos casos se rearmaron equipos para ser reutilizados por la Unidad de Informática de la CMDS.
Asimismo, se retiraron más de 140 piezas y cabe precisar que no sólo fueron pantallas o CPU. También se dieron de bajas mouse, teclados, impresoras entre otros que serán reciclados.
