Colegio Benjamín Claro Velasco se adjudica importante proyecto

La alcaldesa Emilia Ríos Saavedra asistió al Colegio Benjamín Claro Velasco para celebrar, junto a la comunidad educativa, la adjudicación del Fondo de Conservación 2024, un proyecto clave que permitirá la habilitación de 10 nuevas salas de clases en la institución.

La ceremonia de presentación, que tuvo lugar en la Biblioteca del establecimiento, contó con la participación de Rodrigo Bravo Godoy, secretario general de la Corporación Municipal de Desarrollo Social; Javier Insunza Mora, director de Educación y representantes de la comunidad educativa del Colegio Benjamín Claro Velasco, apoderados y estudiantes.

El proyecto, que cuenta con una inversión de más de $561 millones, tiene como objetivo rehabilitar cuatro pabellones abandonados del colegio, sumando un total de 546 m2. de nueva infraestructura. Estas instalaciones permitirán dar continuidad a los estudiantes en los niveles de enseñanza media y responder a la alta demanda de cupos en la educación pública de Ñuñoa. Estas obras incluyen: retiro de asbesto, reposición de techos, canaletas y bajadas de agua lluvia, nuevas puertas y ventanas, terminación interior, revestimiento de cielos y muros, normalización de la instalación eléctrica (luces, enchufes, tableros eléctricos) y cierre perimetral.

“Este colegio que hoy cuenta solo con enseñanza básica, podrá extenderse a enseñanza media gracias a este proyecto de conservación. Estos estudiantes podrán terminar su educación en este colegio y, además, nos permite ampliar la matrícula. Estamos felices, avanzamos día y día por una educación pública de calidad”, manifestó la alcaldesa Emilia Ríos Saavedra.

La inversión beneficiará a más de 400 alumnos, contribuyendo a la solución de las listas de espera en la educación pública local y a la modernización de las instalaciones.

La ceremonia, además contar detalles del proyecto, concluyó con un recorrido por las futuras salas de clases, mostrando el compromiso de la comunidad educativa y las autoridades locales con la mejora de la infraestructura escolar y la calidad de la educación pública en Ñuñoa.
