Liceo República de Argentina es anfitrión nacional de la ceremonia de “Firma de Convenios” de sellos Bicentenario

Tras el anunció del Ministerio de Educación de los 80 establecimientos
educacionales del país que se incorporarán al programa de “Liceos Bicentenarios
de Excelencia”, el 23 de octubre se formalizó la unión de los recintos a la red
mediante la ceremonia de “Firma de Convenios”. La jornada se llevó a cabo en el
Liceo Técnico Profesional República de Argentina de Ñuñoa, una de las
instituciones seleccionadas para recibir el sello.
“Nos sentimos muy orgullosos y esperanzados, esto cambiará la historia de
nuestro colegio que tiene más de 100 años de historia y que ha pasado por
luces y sombras. Es un gran desafío, pero también una tremenda
oportunidad. Estamos muy felices”, expresó la Directora del establecimiento,
Verónica Vera.
Para dar la bienvenida a los nuevos establecimientos que integran la red del
programa, se realizó en el recinto, el acto formal de firma de convenio con el Liceo
Técnico Profesional República de Argentina, efectuado por el ministro de
Educación, Nicolás Cataldo, y la directora de la institución, Verónica Vera. Lo
anterior, en presencia de la alcaldesa Emilia Ríos, la subsecretaria de educación,
Alejandra Arratia y la jefa de la División de Educación General, Andrea Osorio.
“Con esto, llegamos a ser más de 400 establecimientos a nivel nacional. Esto
es muy importante, porque vamos ampliando una política educativa que ha
sido exitosa y bien valorada. Queremos entregarles las mismas
oportunidades a cada uno de los estudiantes de nuestro país. La política de
Liceos Bicentenario se hace cargo de lo que hemos llamado “las
condiciones habilitantes”, que permiten y facilitan los aprendizajes”,
manifestó el Ministro de Educación, Nicolás Cataldo.
También, de la instancia se sumaron los alcaldes y comunidad educativa de las
distintas regiones del país para participar de la recepción de los convenios
firmados de los liceos participantes, comprometiéndose con la calidad de la
educación. Al mismo tiempo, en la jornada se dispuso de un espacio para
compartir experiencias de postulación, incorporación y sentido de sus proyectos
de innovación.
Para esta convocatoria, se revisaron 155 proyectos de establecimientos
educacionales, que consideraban iniciativas para el fortalecimiento educativo y el
mejoramiento de infraestructura, equipamiento y/o mobiliario. La selección del

Liceo República de Argentina permite que el sello Bicentenario beneficie, durante
ocho años, a los 661 estudiantes del recinto, posibilitando mejoras en las cuatro
carreras que ofrece: electricidad, gráfica, servicios de turismo y administración
(mención recursos humanos y mención logística).
El programa “Liceos Bicentenario” busca no solo comprometer a los
establecimientos educacionales con la calidad de la educación, sino también
apoyarlos para que alcancen altos estándares. Lo anterior, de manera que ellos
logren mejoras significativas para enfrentarse al futuro.

“Esto es un salto adelante. A nosotros nos importan todos los colegios de
Ñuñoa, ningún colegio se tiene que quedar atrás, y hoy día, con este
reconocimiento, este colegio asume un desafío importante, que es poner los
aprendizajes al centro, es trabajar en red, es probablemente actualizarse y
subir a los estudiantes al carro de sentir un profundo orgullo por donde
estudian y pasan la mayor parte de día y donde forman una comunidad”,
señaló al término de la jornada la alcaldesa Emilia Ríos Saavedra.
